Southeast North Dakota | The 2188 and 2388 are almost the same combine except for engine specs, rotary screens, and a few other small details. The 2188 is 260 HP where the 2388 is 280 HP. The rotary screen is a smaller silver unit on the 2188 which was used on all the older 80 size machines. The 2388 has always had a larger black rotary screen and in 2003 they went to the large "side screen" unit. The 2388 also had a hydraulic feeder reverser where the 2188 had the older "GM starter" style. Other than those differences I don't think there was a lot of difference between the two. | |
