It sounds like the one rail isn't activating the range side. First and third should be the same gear with the range changing it from low in first to high in third. Same thing with second in low range and the shift to high range to make it fourth. One side is shifting fine and the solenoid that shifts the range isn't working. That is why it goes to 1st when selecting 3rd and into 2nd when selecting 4th. The range rail isn't moving and stuck in low.
That makes sense. The dealer tech is supposed to be here in the morning. |
