Sounds like it may need a calibration then to recognize what location it is for the gear. We would sometimes have a ? show up in 2nd gear but if was in gear.
I hear you about how hard is it to move a straight shift lever 1-4 like they have been since the S75. Just have to keep up with the competition with electric shift.
