Check on top of the transmission and make sure a wire isn't broken or chewed through. Does it register as being in 2nd gear? We had trouble keeping in second gear and bent the shift rails twice on our S98. Otherwise it is the same transmission as the older combines other than the electric shift unit on top.
I didn't see any chewed wires.
Yes it registers it is in 2nd gear. When I select 3, it goes to 1. When I press 4 it goes to 2. When I press 2 it stays in 2. When I press N it says unknown gear selection, try again.
The shift rails look fine.
I guess the old system was just too easy/simple and they had to make it complicated. |
