Subject: RE: Insurance and damaged beans

PROSPECT, TENNESSEE
young farmer,

had this conversation last week. chances are the adjuster will not zero them. he will estimate damage, yield, exc...... we had some early 4's that were damaged in the 40% range, 50% poped out, and the ground was wet. we didnt think the beans were worth the ruts to harvest them. he estimated them at 36 bushels per acre. the insurance had to pay at 35. he said there would not be a loss, we cut them to prove him wrong! across the scales they yielded 30 with an adverage damage of36%.
