Well, this goes under the "anything can happen" banner. With either the Steigers and/or Magnums, most of the time when an implement settles, it is because of leakage at the barrels/cartridges that the male tips are plugged into. On either tractor, the leakage will not be seen externally. On a Steiger, that leakage is directed into the case drain circuit. On a Tier IV Steiger, you should just be able to plumb a 5000 psi gauge into the remote coupler in question, stroke the remote(should get 3050 psi or so), then return the remote to neutral and watch the pressure drop off on the gauge. It will probably drop off to 2000 psi or so, but should hold above 1500 psi long term from the ones I have dealt with. If it drops below that, replace the cartridge/coupler body and retest.

Also, does the tractor have any problems with hoses popping out when certain remotes are actuated? If the cartridges have much internal leakage, the case drain will tend to be overpressurized causing numerous hoses to pop out.
