S.E. Sask.
I just replaced the return drive chain on my 1660 this fall with a new length of Reynolds (made in Germany) chain. I figured since the old chain had been on there since I bought the combine over ten years and 2000 hours ago it was time to replace. Seeing as the old Reynolds lasted that long without breaking I figured stick with what works. Its not cheap at $75 per ten foot roll but it seems to last well. Never have tried it on the reverser (rock beater) drive. I just replace that one every harvest as it is the chinese #60H and seems to wear pretty fast even with daily shots of chain lube.
I'm thinking I will replace the clean grain elevator chain next as it is also ten years or older.
