When I build a block wall into the hills you’re saying I always run a 4 inch tile line around the bottom outside and refill at least the 1st foot if not 2 foot next to the wall with clean stone. That does two things It alleviates the hydraulic pressure and very seldom does any moisture come through the wall matter fact I’d say never.... Dennis
