It helps greatly to bury tie back strips in the dirt side like MSE walls on roadways. You could attach something to the lifting loop on the block and bury it in the dirt. It will require excavating the dirt behind the wall. MSE walls use hundreds of 3"X1/4"X20-30' strips of metal that have ribs rolled into them and are coated with class 3 galvanizing. They are held on by 1 3/8" bolt. They are buried in compacted sand. They seem to work well.
