Lower Indiana Hill Country
Becks PFR studies show a positive return for some foliar applications. Best time to apply is very early in the morning stopping before 10am or late in evening after 6pm. I am running a trial plot this year for about 4 different materials with checks. My soils are high P and medium K. Results vary from year to year depending upon weather. Soybeans primarily respond to applications at R3 and an insecticide can be applied then also. One of my concerns is how to get thru the field without destroying more yield mechanically than I get from the foliar application.
