Subject: RE: Air to empty nurse trailer hose ?

SW Illinois
Life’s too short to wait around on a 2” hose.

When it’s set up right, air purge on 3” hose works great.

I’ve never had a pressurized hose blow out at me because we have a bleed line plumbed in.

Our air pressure is regulated 20psi for safety.

Water is always the last thing pumped in our loads, so there are no chemical aerosols. In fact, when I uncouple the hose, it’s rare to get more than a drop of clean water dripping out.

Our nurse trailer has pumped nearly 1 million gallons of water in the last 7 years or so since we built it. The sprayer pump has never airlocked once.

As long as you shut off the air once the hose is empty, foam in the tank is non-existent.

Can accidents happen? Yes, if you’re not thinking.

Would I ever build a nurse trailer without air purge? Not a chance.
