Received word( I'm sure everyone has) that the FSA is providing $5 per acre towards your crop insurance premium for the planting of cover crop.
Cover could have been planted last year or this spring. I have several hundred acres that fall into this category. My question is how do I prove it? Most of these covercrops were destroyed by spring tillage and or chemical burn down.
Deadline to report these acres is June 15th. What are the details? TIA

is anybody asking why they are willing to give you $5/acre for this data? I'm sure I'll get slaughtered for throwing a wet blanket on the money party, but for as much as the patriot farmers want to operate independent of welfare, they sure will offer up a lot for a few bucks. If it's for your benefit they likely wouldn't have to pay for it. This is like getting the offer for an amazon gift card in the envelope with the 20 page survey.
