SEQ, Australia | As long as the profile for the MT Challenger in the Nav Controller is similar vintage to the FW on the Nav Controller, the Nav should still talk to it regardless. Generally its going to be the translator version (which you've confirmed?) the incorrect cable (54850 is the correct one) being used to break into the CAN in the B Pillar or the Terminators on the tractor themselves have been unplugged/corroded etc so as to not "close the loop". The MT series B tractors were not all ISOBUS ready either - it the translator software had to be updated to make it so. Some early MT-B's and the MT-A's had an older SIU box that plugged into the Nav Controller and then into the tractor under the floor near the dash before the ISO option was available too. I haven't seen one of the SIU MT's for years (they still use a similar kit in the 8XXXT John Deere's) but there are not that many of the MT-A's around and the MT-B's could be upgraded to work over ISO. | |
