Subject: RE: John Deere 7630 IVT transmission codes HELP!

Unfortunately, 5000 hours is when the ZF built IVTs seem to start having issues. I'm pretty sure that transmission does an automatic calibration of the hydro swashplates on start-up, which is the carrier speed control. Have the injectors ever been done? Had one once that ran too rough for the engine to complete its auto calibration and gave that same PTi 630 code. There are a few valves in play but the hydrostat is controlled by a proportioning valve that can act up, potentially giving you that code. To say that it has to be split is a very big assumption, could be in the speed control electrical, the valve, or the carrier speed sensor / ciruit.
That being said, like I mentioned earlier, 5000 hours seems to be when these transmissions like to give up.
