| One leg of their stool for public acceptance of electric vehicles is the appearance of lower operating costs. Paying directly this early on with so few EV on the roads would hamstring their acceptance at a critical time in their development. The costs will need to be shared with the gas burning public for a while longer until we reach a point of no return. After that point, we can grumble all we want while we pay the true cost. | |
