scmn

2x12,8x38

2mm wire, 12.8mm coil diameter, 38mm length or approx 1/2dia x 1-1/2lg x 14 ga wire spring

European measurements tent to swap the "," and the "." so 5,000,000.00 would become 5.000.000,00

Edit to add:
'2x12,8x38' is merely a description, and although engineers and technical publication drawers try to maintain a consistent naming naming for parts, it is inevitable that some part will slip thru the cracks not following the naming convention.  This is why manufacturers use part numbers instead of descriptions for parts since in all reality the part name is just that "a name" and should roughly describe the part while the vendor is expected to produce the part per the drawing which contains all the critical information to correctly build the part.  From an engineering perspective the name of the part on the drawing could be changed to "spring", "coil", "helix", etc and the manufacturer will still build the part correctly based on the information on the drawing; essentially the part's name does not mean a whole lot in the manufacturing world rather it is a descriptor to give people an idea of what it is without looking at the print.

I would just be glad the OEM put the dimensions in the description so you could decipher the dimensions of the spring, because they could have just labeled it as "HELIX" and then you would have no idea and would have to order one to figure out that it is a 12.8mm x 38mm x 2mm wire spring but we still don't know if the ends are closed and ground, closed and squared, double closed, open, etc.  The assumption is that this is a compression spring, but it could easily be an extension spring.  Ultimately, there is too much information to place in the part description to clearly communicate the desired finished part hence why OEMs use drawings.
