I’ve heard very aggressive full rates of roundup will get it. It has such waxy stems and basically no leaves, so herbicides have a tough time getting absorbed.

We have had a patch along the ditch in the grass for 50-60 years, it’s never moved into the grazed pasture or moved into the field where we do full tillage. As you say it doesn’t seem to like swamp land, but ‘a little wet’ ground.
