FW will still work as a stand alone accounting system until it crashes I am guessing. The only problem will be reading and writing from different consoles eventually. There are some workarounds.
The folks from the original FW are now creating Traction, which is a cloud based program, which will ultimately be equivalent to FW, only cloud based. I have been using it now for about six months and I like the system.
It is a work in progress at this point but they are moving along with it rapidly.
Being cloud based makes it accessible from your desktop, ipad, smart phone, etc.
Maps can be moved from FW direct into this program.
Building your chart of accounts can be done on the fly within the accounting.
We just have to keep moving forward.
