Temple, TX | I have a '14 9460RT with 3600hrs. I have it taken apart right now doing a front idler bearing also. I think the book says to check every year and change at 4000hrs, well mine didn't make it. The oil in my hubs was black and burnt smelling, but luckily only one had metal in it. Local dealership says they have only had to change a few of those bearings, so I'm hoping this one had a flaw. My local bearing house was able to source those bearings for $500 less than Deere. I pulled the caps for the idler link bushings and those are galled up and needing replacement also, might want to check yours while it's apart. | |
