Use the heat gun when it's overheating. It won't show anything when the thermostat is not fully open. If anything, 20 degrees is way too little if it's running with no load. It should be 80 degrees difference then. Always check the radiator first on ag stuff, so much dirt and dust to plug them up. Blow it out with air, then hose it out with water, add a little soap, let it sit five minutes, hose it out again, repeat until there's no brown water or grass coming out.
