Yes, they are pretty laid back at Grimes field. 3 B17s were at Grimes for the Memphis Bell ceremony down at Wright Patt. 2 were giving rides. When it came time to fire one up they just asked us to back up a little. So I got to stand maybe 100 or so feet away. When that plane turned to head for the runway and we got hit by the wind, sound and fumes off the engines it was pretty cool.
