| Hit a deadhead with a sharp edge last year cutting edible beans and bent components where the adapter attaches to the platform. I'm hesitant to turn it in as I'm coming off a large claim with a rock thru the combine, ha ha. Anyways looking down the cutting bar it appears perfectly straight. The damage is in the arms/linkages where the large coil springs are at on one side opposite where the header collided with the rock. It essentially pulled that stuff apart allowing the platform to sit about 15 degrees apart from the adapter. I was thinking if the platform is ok I could just replace the damaged parts. Anyone ever tackled anything like that before? Any other advice? I'm pretty decent with the mechanical stuff except for the amount of swearing sometimes. Thanks! | |
