Subject: Soybean yield estimates

Helena, OK

Need some help from the experts, we have grown alot of 20-25 bpa soybeans as a double crop to wheat, but this year we have had really good rainfall and cooler weather, which is not the norm for Oklahoma.  My question is what do you guys use as a seed per pound number to then figure bushels when figuring yield potential.  Also what would you guys expect as an average seed count per plant?  According to my numbers I have counted 555 seeds per plant and planted them around 105K per acre but I don't have near that many plants up, more like 40-50K.  Using those numbers I get rediculous bpa numbers. TIA.
