| Unless you know exactly what hose you have and know WHICH field attachable (they aren't reusable) fitting to buy. Gates field attachables are only to be used with G1, G2, and the SAE 100R5 hose products. Most of what gets used on NEW ag equipment is SAE 100R17 and there isn't a field attachable designed to work with 100R17 hose.
I'm not a fan of crimping new ends onto used hose either. Most reputable hose shops won't take that liability risk anymore. Buy a new hose, most of the cost is in the fittings anyway so only a few bucks difference if you buy a 5' hose or a 15' hose. | |
