I too am surrounded by things that were Dad's or Granddad's. The wisdom they imparted early in my life becomes more prescient as the years go by.

This is my parity year. I got 21 years in under Dads guidance and tutelage  farming with him. This year marks 21 years without him. Next year marks the turn where I will have farmed longer without him than with him.

He taught and prepared me well for when he would no longer be here.

To all those with Dad' still here. Take the time to learn and enjoy that time together and have patience and understanding. One day, all too soon in an instant, your world will forever change.
