sounds like the trailer highlights some of the more extreme moments in the film (isn't that the nature of all trailers?)... I haven't watched the trailer but I did watch the film with a bunch of farm boys whose families collectively were about to plant over 20,000 acres of # 2 yellow dent corn.
There are plenty of scenes in the film which poke fun at the 2 city boys (who made the film)... in contrast the presentation of the farmers is mostly very respectful.
As I said before, my students thought the film was entertaining and that it shed light on some things the general public should know more about.
How far are you from Macomb? It would be great to have you watch and discuss the film with some students this year.
I could also probably loan you my copy of the DVD if you are too busy to make it over to Macomb.
