I've written thousands of lines of code in Foxpro.  Several companies used the software for years until they were taken over by conglomerates.

Mostly the problem I have with macro's is the lack of a list of commands and what they do.

My experience with Foxpro was that they gave me about 5 books filled with the commands and examples of those commands.

I started with basic on a Commodore 64 and then to an IBM with KnowledgeMan.  Next was dBaseII and then onto the first iteration of Foxbase.

I wish that the macro's that worked in Lotus 123 still worked in Excel.  The first versions of Excel accepted those macro's and it was great.  Now I have a nice interface with Excel but to just input data takes a lot more work.
