Southwest Illinois | We dealt with a versy dealer in central Illinois for years. If new you would run it a year and they would send cummins out to change the pump and possibly replace injectors. We ran our old 875 for a year at the factory 280hp setting, then had it bumped up to around 350. Our 946 came at 325 I belive and after year one they set it to 400. We then got a 9682 which came as 360hp and had it bumped to 400. I do recall the 9882 had a larger radiator but by and large they were all the same. That is why you don't see many 976 or 9882, 9884 models. So yes it can be done and if you bought your 976 new you could probably bump it up a little. I would stay under 450. | |
