Kingdom of Callaway - Fulton, Mo 65251 | I was asking on here last week about a tile project concerning installing dual wall 15 inch tile. It was recommended I use a tile spoon. So, I searched on here, and found some great pictures of ones issedit, fielddreamer, and others posted. We copied theirs, and it turned out great. We dug several hundred feet with it late this afternoon.
We used 1 inch plate, and made it where we can make different bolt on plates to use on other sizes of tile. The bucket on our 892 Deere excavator had really long 12 inch rock teeth, so we first removed them and built the spoon around the shorter shanks. We don't have any rocks, so hopefully it holds up okay.
The finished spoon weighs 510 pounds, and the steel, welding rods, and bolts cost right at $600.00. Everything is so durned expensive.
