Exactly. I know guys spending $10 or more a day eating at Casey's making less than $15 an hour. Pack a $2 lunch, bank the other $8 and save $200 a month. I'd bet there are other expenses they could cut too.

That’s what I did when I was younger. Saved up so I could at least pay a good portion in cash. Financing very little. Drive the wheels off it, sell it and rinse and repeat. I drive mostly 5-15 year old vehicles and I get asked sometimes,” can’t you afford more?” Sure, but why? I have this thing about buying new. I just can’t do it because I can’t stand putting the first scratch in it. Weird but it’s been working for me. Most of my depreciation has been costing me about .11-.12/ mile for late model card and SUVs.
