The #2 remote has a better style coupler IMO, the #1 remote is what would have been on the tractor from factory, the part # for the #2 is RE255758 or that least that is what I replaced it with and my troubles went away, still have a pair laying here that I would sell very reasonable, as Deere won't return 10+ year old parts. 701-three2zero-7327
