Weakest point of that factory DMI hitch is the bolted in ball socket plate. Pulled a 36’ Brillion packer for a year with one. Bent the plate bad, bad enough had to replace. Replaced with a solid piece of much heavier and wider flat steel, had to open up the area where it bolted in. Also added side braces while it was in shop fixing bent hitch plate.
