EC IN | I only have been buying equipment for a few years, but a 60' Great Plains 2425a that we have used for the last 5 years has paid for itself by being reliable and doing a dang good job. It replaced dads 30' 1225a. We turned it from a twin row to true 15", fixed a few cracked welds, and top bushings. Nothing out of the ordinary with wear part replacement. We jokingly refer to it as the wrong color of green.
Best was 2 years ago, I found a Soil Max Gold Digger Pro listed on here in IA. Drove out with my wife to pick it up. So far I have done 125acres of my own ground, spotted in some on dads, and just finished a side-job for a neighbor. Safe to say my ROI is pretty good when it's paid for in 2 years, and has already contributed to the purchase of a 9320 I bought to be a better pull tractor over our 8285r(Needed weight, and save wear and tear off planter/cart tractor). Results were a field that was the last to plant(or in 19 was prevent plant), to being the first, and went from sub-avg to at or above in year one. Excited to see how the corn does this year.
