ISU student,
My professor has spoke along the same lines also about waterhemp only producing seeds through cross pollination rather than self, resulting in genetic variation. If waterhemp is using natural selection to weed out those plants that do not have the reisitance gene than that is just amazing. Its something else what these plants can do.
