Fought this on a lot of 6.8 engines. After changing out wiring harnesses, sensors, controllers and anything else we could think of. We measured the sensor depth from the tone wheel to the end of the sensor. It needs to be within 1mm-1.5mm away from the tone wheel. Most of the sensors that are replaced are too far away from the wheel.
Plumberg if you’re still on here where is the sensor located?
