| Was hoping someone would chime in that actually knew how to run one. Personally my favorite implant gun, especially for cull cows. Don’t head catch but maybe 10% since the needle retracts instead of just jamming the pellets out like other guns. The biggest issue I’ve seen with people running them is they get the idea they can run that lever like a 30-30 lever action instead of treating it like the plastic precision tool it is. Take the extra 2seconds to pull it back all the way so it will rotate the cartridge to the next hole. If the lever doesn’t get all the way to the back of the gun the mechanism only partially engages and will either end up in the same hole it just ejected pellets from or half way to the next slot. Then in frustration most will try to force it into the cartridge, breaking the plastic in the process and rendering the gun useless. Just gotta be smarter then the gun guys. | |
