Yes, we used several old PAX round feeders for steers years ago . I think we just had them on cement blocks. I don’t even remember if we took the doors off or not but they worked well. Also used a Circle B (Bainbridge) 16 hole rectangular feeder for a number of years for smaller calves. We did screw the lids up on that one and also took the agitators out .
