ND

Bern - 4/2/2021 20:44 I'm very surprised that DTAC says that an ECU is their best guess, when their own service manual clearly states that ECU failures are rare and that it should be the LAST component to be a suspect. Myself, if I were called on to repair this, would be monitoring the various accelerator circuits with a scope and looking for unusual dropouts when the issue occurs.

Sure it says that in the manual, but that is where the ECU is not mounted to the block where all the heat is, ECU is easy to swap out. ECU's on the older tractors were pretty dependable.
