Subject: John Deere 9560RT odd throttle issue - ( ECU / ECM Testing Repair?)

Central Iowa
We've got a 2013 JD 9560RT tractor that's acting up. Going through the field under load, the engine will randomly idle down and surge at the bottom RPM range, sit there and chug until you do something to try and reset it. Sometimes hold the clutch in, sometimes place in neutral/park, sometimes shut motor off and wait, restart and reset. From what we've seen, using any of the automated engine controls like RPM limit, Field speed (thumb wheel and F1/F2 to set speed), and maybe even the Decelerate pedal tend to create these issues. Using thumb throttle only and driving the old fashioned way doesn't create the issue so far. Not a lot of rhyme or reason to it. Our very good JD Tech has researched best he can, only idea right now is to swap ECU's and test with a new ECU to see if that resolves these glitches.

Does not show codes when issue occurs.

Well, that is an $8,000 test.

Anyone have a good source of a ECU/ECM testing and repair outfit?

There are of course other possible causes, rubbed wire harness, several other electrical components, but JD DTAC says the ECU is what their best guess is to try.

Plan B is we hope and pray the tractor will run without these features activated, and get by for a while.
