Here are a couple pics of ours with the extension harness I made. The first pic shows the heat valve on the left side of the engine.
I took the original connector off since the wires had pulled out of the connector anyway. I added a Deutsch connector and a 12" or so length of cable. I then crimped the new connector from AGCO onto that (IIRC I ised my weather pack crimpers). I then zip tied it out of the way with a little slack. I've had 0 problems since. They just didn't have enough slack in the harness from the factory.
Looking at a cat challenger mt765d, what to inspect?
