| Without a lot of thought, it sounds like the drive has failed. You could try a handful of things ................ sound slike you have already been to the device manager ................. might try uninstalling it there and reboot and let it reinstall itself. There are drivers availible from the manufacturer but have yet to see that resolve drive issues. if the system is in wrranty it should be pretty easy to resolve................. if not, finding a drive should be easy and most times is pretty easy to change. Only a few models make that difficult.......................
Not that you wanted to hear this, but it is possible that the hardware failure is deeper than the drive..................... most likely the drive though. You can always use an external drive to get by if you needed to. | |
