I am thinking the same thing, we never take it off the straw or hay when processing. Most of the wrap ends up on the processor rotor. There are plenty of whole pieces in the field that fall off before going through the processor or are frozen to the ground that I see calves or cows chewing on. I think a cow is more apt to die of these than they are the few strands they pick up in ground hay or straw.
