The question I have is the net wrap that was left on and ground up, hurt or ball up replacement heifers over time. Surely they can't digest ground plastic. What happens?

(Saw this in some deads that I had bought in.)

Net wrap and twine just don't seem to go through the rumen - - - - dunno about really small pieces though.
What I found in the rumen was all matted together into a lump.
Could determine that it wasn't any net wrap from my place as I'd never used any with the color of the stuff in the deads.

Ever since plastic twine came out have we been almost crazy anal about getting it off the bales (it was LOTS of years ago that plastic twine hit here!!).
Its not easy getting it all either - - - - - I'm still finding bits of twine where I'm feeding.
Have seen the twine well inside the outer level of the bale at times (have been buying in my feed for a lot time so I can't take credit for the twine inside the bale though).
Net wrap is tough to get off when the outer surface of the bale is frozen but so far it seems easier to get it off compared to twine.
Sometimes even the net wrap is a pain to get off too.
