Subject: RE: water softener for power washer ???

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
When I had a shop built I asked the local outfit that makes them for advice. The guy suggested getting the same model as I have in the house. Actually he put the new one in the house and the one that was in the house in the utility room in the shop.

Yes, it does take some salt but since their softeners use a flow meter, the frequency of the regeneration is based on gallons of water used and the local hardness that they determine. The system then determines when it should regenerate rather than being based on time. It waits until 3 AM to do this. The amount of salt that I use is directly related to the use of the water which is mainly for the pressure washer. I would do this again as it has worked well for my situation.
