Iowa | I'll bet that tractor is still sitting outside the agricultural engineering building at the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus. If I remember correctly, Dr. Kevin Shinners secured it from CAT. It is one of the early prototypes built by CAT when they were developing their tractor line. There is also an early CAT prototype at Iowa State's agricultural engineering farm. Iowa State used to have 2 more but about 4 years ago the CAT Foundation put them into a museum. If the one at UW-Madison is going away, I bet it is going to CAT's museum. | |
