I would imagine if you ran the straight blades backward and maybe even sharpen the points it would work great.
Check “Agri-supply” website, they sell pre made “gangs” and individual parts.
I always think about rotary hoe wheels too, same principle and you could probably find a used unit for cheap?
You can put a good amount of weight on them and get pretty darn good soil penetration if you wanted.
