| I have Cat and Kubota and was in conversation about skid steers this morning with a employee that has takahachi. He uses mine quite a bit. Brother in law has Cat like mine(279d) and just bought Deere (not sure which model but a little bigger than 279.
Kubota and takahachi Have bigger cabs and can get out of them when loader is raised.
Cat door sux
Cat foot paddle is best
All are noisy
Brother in law said he didn't like his deere any better than his cat
All need high flow hydraulics
Cat fuel filters will shut you down where all other equipment will keep going using same fuel(could be a good thing but is a pia if you want to work and don't have one)
My cat had a frozen track this morning after cleaning snow from parking lots yesterday and not cleaning tracks.
I think kubota and tak have better protected hoses going to tracks..not sure about deere
Cat started flawlessly in all weather....Kubota didn't......Deere did but was plugged in and had fuel treatment
If all things were equal, I would probably buy the Deere because I think my salesman would would take better care of me. Neither cat or Kubota care about my biz. Deere dealer is ag others are construction.
I would prefer to use Cat because i use the foot peddle a lot. No one else cares | |
