Both the Cat 259D and Deere 329D I asked about are track machines.
I currently have a Deere 270 with a Loegering VTS bolt on track system that has worked very well! Not as easy to keep clean as the Deere 323D and New Holland that I've borrowed but I've never totally froze them. I don't have a heated shop either. Just clean the best I can after using.
