Wheelbase is going to have more to do with ride, turning radius, and proper placement of ballast than actual pull at the end of the day.

A longer wheelbase tractor is going to at least feel like it rides better, due to the operator being further away from the front axle. Depending on seat position, that may not make much difference if you're right over the rear axle vs sitting forward of it, which lessens the shock from the rear axle hitting the bump.

To say "all things being equal" on ballasting would not mean the same number of weights in the same place, but rather overall weight and distribution of that weight on the machine to get just enough ballast to keep the nose down in a hard pull. A longer wheelbase machine might need less front weight and more rear to accomplish this, but engine placement, etc. all play into that.

Another factor is loader use, a loader will transfer more weight to the front axle the farther in front of it the bucket is, so a lot of the set back axle designs like yours need to be heavier front axles to support the same load.

FYI, I have your MF's older brother (180) and it's listed as a 93 inch wheelbase. I think MF moved the front axle back with the 200 series to be more compact and maneuverable.

Going to MFWD changes the axle placement game even more.
