We use JD cotton closing on 2 planters for corn, cotton, peanuts, and milo with good results with no till, striptill, and conventional tillage
I have used many shoup parts as replacements with no issues.
Would recommend the closing wheels with shallow lugs- they seem to help with crusting under certain conditions
And smooth discs on both sides
